Our foundation from 1984 until today
At Cone Machinery we've been building first quality sawmill equipment for over 35 years. The company was founded in 1984 by Amanuel Cone. Prior to founding Cone Machinery, he was the original founder of Southern Sawmill Machinery, Inc., served the Chip-N-Saw company for many years in both sales and service, and was also employed by Balfour Lumber Company, Coastal Lumber Company, and several Georgia-Pacific saw mills.
Amanuel had a lifetime of experience in the industry and loved saw milling as much as life itself. He was always coming up with new ideas and he was truly in love with the machinery and the challenge of doing things "bigger and better". He was responsible for a long list of innovations that were employed to improve overall saw mill operations.
We are proud to have served the sawmill industry for 35 years and look forward to our next 35 years in business.

The strong foundation that Amanuel established for Cone Machinery, Inc. allows the company's third generation Cone Family to continue to provide the same innovative services to the saw mill industry. While we are dedicated to developing new product designs and innovative solutions to help our customers save money and run their businesses more efficiently, our comittment to servicing our customers has not changed from the original vision of my father.

With a state of the art CNC machine shop and world class fabrication, along with the experienced assembly personnel, we are able to take on most any challenge.

Cone Machinery, Inc. is located in Thomasville, GA (about 30 miles north of Tallahassee, FL). Our facility is just a half mile from the Thomasville Regional Airport. The staff of more than 40 work in a 52,000-square-foot fabrication and machine shop facility.
